Things I am listening to lately include: Gloss Drop by Battles I always sort of figured these guys were a one album band; it was only a hunch. I hunched wrong wrong wrong, and this is so so good. They were absolutely relentless live. I would recommend above everything. s/t by Triceracorn Beige and IG88 got together and did some raps and beats. It’s a good collaboration. Blueberry Boat...

Here’s what I’m listening to. I keep promising to do this more regularly… Soultronic EP by Bad Lamps One constant bass beat flows some catchy pop songs into a continuously listenable EP; four songs have never fit together better. Pop Music / False B-Sides by Baths Nicely varied indie electro-pop. Some really gorgeous arrangement that’s good for active or passive listening....

here’s what I’m listening to this week: Saddle Up by Quiet Hooves This is one of the most maddeningly catchy things I’ve heard in a while! Classification: baroque indie blues? electro math pop? Enjoyment from start to finish. Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains by Sebastien Grainger Some straight rockin’ tunes from the singer/drummer of Death From Above 1979, so you...

Here’s what I’m listening to recently. I’m going to try and do this semi-regularly, but we’ll see if I actually keep on top of it. Memories, Violet & Demons by Broken Little Sister Remember that shoegaze thing all us Americans were fawning over? The Japanese remember, and they showed up 20 years later to knock it out of the fucking park. Mosaik by Siriusmo One of...
